Participatory Methodologies and Intangible Cultural Heritage / Metodologias Participativas e Património Cultural Imaterial
The main aim of the UNESCOˈs 2003 Convention is to maintain the “living heritage” - its continued practice and its relevance to the actors involved. The participation of the communities, groups and individuals is at the core of the heritagization process. To safeguard intangible culture is to ensure the viability and sustainability of this heritage.
The third issue of MEMORIAMEDIA Review is dedicated to Participatory Methodologies and Intangible Cultural Heritage. On this subject, we publish articles about projects promoted in Brazil, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, Portugal, China, United Kingdom, Sweden and Slovenia.
In the context of oral history, is published an article that describes the Portuguese project Mémória das Avenidas [Memory from the Avenues]. To end, and because this year the NGO Memória Imaterial devoted part of its time studying Participatory Methodologies, we announce the publication of the e-book The Participation in the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage - the role of Communities, Groups and Individuals.
O principal objetivo da Convenção 2003 da UNESCO é manter o “património vivo” - manter a sua prática continuada e a sua relevância junto dos atores envolvidos. No cerne do processo de patrimonialização está a participação das comunidades, dos grupos e dos indivíduos. Salvaguardar a cultura imaterial é assegurar a sua viabilidade e sustentabilidade.
O terceiro número da Revista MEMORIAMEDIA tem como tema as Metodologias Participativas e o Património Cultural Imaterial. Neste âmbito, publicamos artigos sobre projetos promovidos no Brasil, na República da Coreia, nos Países Baixos, em Portugal, na China, no Reino Unido, na Suécia e na Eslovénia.
No contexto da história oral, publicamos um artigo que descreve o projeto português Memória das Avenidas e para finalizar, porque este ano a ONG Memória Imaterial dedicou parte do seu tempo ao estudo das Metodologias Participativas, anunciamos a publicação do e-book A Participação na Salvaguarda do Património Cultural Imaterial - o papel das Comunidades, Grupos e Indivíduos.
