Istrian Traditional Instruments Online Project (ITI Online) is a web application, digital collection and database at the same time, dedicated to traditional musical instruments and its makers in Istrian region. It is an example of the process that goes from a standard museum collection management to digital content open for the community engagement. The main purpose of this web based project is to operate as a platform aimed to overcome the classical museological limitations, static and hermetic discourses represented by tradition concept of museum collection, often invisible and inaccessible for a wider public.
